C19MC, the chromosome 19 microRNA cluster, is one of the largest miRNA gene clusters in the human genome.
It is highly expressed in human placenta, particularly in trophoblasts, and C19MC miRNAs have been identified in extracellular vesicles released by placental trophoblasts.
